I originally pursued this degree with the goal of becoming a forensic computer analyst investigator. However, during my last semester, I discovered a passion for programming and decided to pursue opportunities in the tech industry.
During my last semester, I started and completed a minor in Information Systems and Technology. To finish it in time, I took classes at both my college and a community college. This experience allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the field and helped me to develop valuable skills in programming and technical problem-solving.
As an apprentice general manager at Chipotle, I gained valuable experience in leadership, teamwork, and effective communication. These skills, along with my strong work ethic, have prepared me to excel in various roles, including software engineering. My time at Chipotle taught me how to handle difficult or stressful situations with a level head and a clear direction, making me well-suited to take on new challenges and succeed in a variety of professional settings.

In addition to my management experience, I have also worked for multiple years as a successful waitress at a Texas Roadhouse. I enjoy working with people and serving their needs in order to create a better experience for everyone involved. My customer service experience has taught me the importance of good time management and effective communication in order to be successful and help others succeed.
I am confident that these skills, along with my passion for working with people, make me well-equipped to contribute to and thrive in any team environment.
Life has presented me with many opportunities to make a difference in my community. Some of my most meaningful contributions have included creating online support groups for distressed individuals, volunteering my time to help organize my city's pride day festival, and establishing support groups to connect LGBTQIA+ individuals with supportive healthcare professionals.
